The cool part? He heard of this place that would be a one stop for coffee and our adventure for the day! Come with us.. Just another not-so-casual weekend supporting local businesses. I bet the "not-so" is stumping you! Well, Juniors typical MO is to casually take us to check out some new small businesses in our spare time. This go around looks different because while supporting a local business, it was a big project! Savvy Builder's  Located in Wellington. Business hours are not specified. Junior loved getting to watch the crew work with all of their tools! The "after" of this project is beautiful. The owner was knowledgeable, efficient and reliable in all phases of this job. Junior recommends anyone looking to have a construction job completed to check them out! But of course, a long day with big projects called for something good to eat! While out and about for Mother's Day activities, Junior reminded me that a few of our group members had been promoting their vendor event for this weekend. I was excited to be able to have a few minutes to go and check out these home-based businesses. There were so many events and specials for Mother's Day 2024 that it was hard for Junior to choose his next stop for the blog. Junior ended up taking his Grandma and I to a few places for a very successful Mother's Day weekend. So first, head to Belle Plaine with us! Ellis Island Farm Located at 431 N Merchant St in Belle Plaine. Junior heard that there was a Chisholm Trail Festival going on in Caldwell, KS so he wanted to go for his first time to find out what it was all about. Plus, there were a few small businesses located here that he was already wanting to go see! Between the settlement of the Old West and the cattle drives, Caldwell remains the Border Queen town. Let's see what this little hard working town has to offer! Junior had to make sure we had a kick start to our day of adventures since he had been keeping Mom up all week teething!
