DNMS Spring Fling Vendors

While out and about for Mother's Day activities, Junior reminded me that a few of our group members had been promoting their vendor event for this weekend. I was excited to be able to have a few minutes to go and check out these home-based businesses.
Jakl Bakery
Located in Haysville out of home and Wichita inside of Sunflour Cafe & Collective.

Stuffed cookies seem to be a new trend, Junior is so excited to tell you these can be found at Jakl Bakery! They offer a variety of cookies along with many other products including cakes, breads and other sweet treats. This bakery accepts custom orders upon request.
Make sure to check them out for all your sweet treat needs. You may even see them at Vendor events around the Haysville area!
AMORE Candle Designs

AMORE Candle Designs is a veteran owned and operated business. Their locally made products are handcrafted with Para-Soy and a variety of fragrances. Junior must say they had some good scents and he even got to put his vote in for a new release! He even got his Mom the amazing smelling "Cocoa Cashmere" wax melts.
With a variety of fragrances and products, AMORE not only has candles but also wax melts, car diffusers and perfumes/colognes. They continue to expand their products which recently included their new "Boss Beard Oil".

Welcome to my newest chapter of supporting South Central, KS small shops.  Today, it was decided that Junior was taking us to check out Peck, Kansas. Rumor actually has it that he wanted to be able to eat at their yummy burger barn in town, should have known! So, we headed over to Peck for his first visit to Boudreux Burger Barn and I must say none of us were disappointed with their food or service. Even Juniors picky friend, Mr B, ate all he could!  Now for the real reason Junior said he was taking us to Peck, to visit The Market Nursery & Venue for our first time. Let me just say I hope Junior & Mr B were paying attention to what gifts they will get to give on Mother's Day. Although, it could be hard to pick as there is such a good variety of products. Chisholm Trail Pt 1

Junior heard that there was a Chisholm Trail Festival going on in Caldwell, KS so he wanted to go for his first time to find out what it was all about. Plus, there were a few small businesses located here that he was already wanting to go see! Between the settlement of the Old West and the cattle drives, Caldwell remains the Border Queen town. Let's see what this little hard working town has to offer! Junior had to make sure we had a kick start to our day of adventures since he had been keeping Mom up all week teething! So, we have our first stop at this adorable, affordable and aesthetically pleasing shop. Suzy's Bakery & Coffee Shop Located at 17 N Main St in Caldwell. Rainy Days

Saturday was filled with thunderstorms which was sad for Junior because he loves to be outside! Junior decided even if it was raining there was a small business he could support. Somewhere. Somehow. Then it hit him! Something that would be inside and entertaining, a movie. Junior took us to downtown Wellington, Kansas to check out the Regent Theater.  Regent Theater Located at 114 W Lincoln Ave in Wellington. Business hours(show times) tend to be Friday at 7 pm and Saturday/Sunday at 2 pm and 7 pm.  Contact: 620-326-6843 Can also be found on Facebook at "Wellington Regent Theater".  This local theater has very affordable admission prices at $6 for children and $8 for adults!  They also offer party and special showings outside of normal showtimes, contact them for booking availability and pricing details.  The one thing Junior can't have yet is the best thing I think sells at the concessions, Popcorn!
