Rainy Days

Saturday was filled with thunderstorms which was sad for Junior because he loves to be outside! Junior decided even if it was raining there was a small business he could support. Somewhere. Somehow. Then it hit him! Something that would be inside and entertaining, a movie. Junior took us to downtown Wellington, Kansas to check out the Regent Theater.
Regent Theater
Located at 114 W Lincoln Ave in Wellington.

Business hours(show times) tend to be Friday at 7 pm and Saturday/Sunday at 2 pm and 7 pm.

Contact: 620-326-6843

Can also be found on Facebook at "Wellington Regent Theater".
This local theater has very affordable admission prices at $6 for children and $8 for adults!
They also offer party and special showings outside of normal showtimes, contact them for booking availability and pricing details.
The one thing Junior can't have yet is the best thing I think sells at the concessions, Popcorn! The Regent offers concessions with a variety of options including popcorn, hot dogs, candy, soda and more. They have affordable prices for their products and have options for combos (popcorn/drink).
The one thing Junior loves at this theater is the option for table and booth seating. He likes it for all his snacks and toys. This is a very unique option for seating, but don't worry if you like the traditional chairs they have them too.

The theater only has one screen which means they typically show a movie for one weekend each. This weekend they had the movie Unsung Hero playing which was great and I highly recommend it. Don't trust Junior for any movie reviews because he fell asleep about 10 minutes in!

This Summer every Wednesday at 2 pm the Regent is running a special for $5 matinees. This price includes movie admission, a pop and popcorn. This is a fantastic thing for the kids being out of school and needing something affordable to do!

Make sure to find them on Facebook and like their page to follow what movies they will be showing. Shoutout to Jerry! The man, the myth, the legend for keeping this all going.

Until Juniors next adventure,
