Junior heard that there was a Chisholm Trail Festival going on in Caldwell, KS so he wanted to go for his first time to find out what it was all about. Plus, there were a few small businesses located here that he was already wanting to go see! Between the settlement of the Old West and the cattle drives, Caldwell remains the Border Queen town. Let's see what this little hard working town has to offer! Junior had to make sure we had a kick start to our day of adventures since he had been keeping Mom up all week teething! Now for the time everyone has been waiting for, where did Junior go over the weekend? On Friday, Junior was needing to find somewhere to meet his Grandma for lunch before spending the afternoon with her. He of course remembered how much she loves a local businesses new salad bar! You say hmm a salad bar, where can you find one of those these days? Let me introduce you to the No. 7 Coffee House in Wellington, KS! No. 7 Coffee House Located at 500 E 16th St Suite 200 in Wellington. Saturday was filled with thunderstorms which was sad for Junior because he loves to be outside! Junior decided even if it was raining there was a small business he could support. Somewhere. Somehow. Then it hit him! Something that would be inside and entertaining, a movie. Junior took us to downtown Wellington, Kansas to check out the Regent Theater.  Regent Theater Located at 114 W Lincoln Ave in Wellington. Welcome to my newest chapter of supporting South Central, KS small shops.  Today, it was decided that Junior was taking us to check out Peck, Kansas. Rumor actually has it that he wanted to be able to eat at their yummy burger barn in town, should have known! So, we headed over to Peck for his first visit to Boudreux Burger Barn and I must say none of us were disappointed with their food or service. Even Juniors picky friend, Mr B, ate all he could!  Now for the real reason Junior said he was taking us to Peck, to visit The Market Nursery & Venue for our first time. Let me just say I hope Junior & Mr B were paying attention to what gifts they will get to give on Mother's Day. Although, it could be hard to pick as there is such a good variety of products.
