Lunch with GMA

Now for the time everyone has been waiting for, where did Junior go over the weekend? On Friday, Junior was needing to find somewhere to meet his Grandma for lunch before spending the afternoon with her. He of course remembered how much she loves a local businesses new salad bar! You say hmm a salad bar, where can you find one of those these days?

Let me introduce you to the No. 7 Coffee House in Wellington, KS!

Located at 500 E 16th St Suite 200 in Wellington.

Business hours are 7 am - 2 pm Tuesday through Saturday.

This coffee shop offers menu options including a variety of drinks, breakfast, lunch and kids items. The drink menu of course includes coffee, but also has teas, lemonades, Italian sodas, boba and more! Juniors Mom recommends a blended caramel macchiato and his Grandma says go for a frozen lemonade. Outside of the everyday menus they also offer specials for just about every occasion. When Junior visited they had a special Cinco de Mayo menu. Rumor has it they are about to have a special menu featuring "Smokin' Daves Grill" for all things BBQ.
Inside the Coffee House is a bakery set up that offers a variety of baked goods. They have items placed in the showcase for purchase during business hours. An option for purchase is Karra's cinnamon rolls from "Karra's Kakes & Other Tasty Treats" which tends to pair well with a coffee. Junior thought it all looked yummy and would have tried one of everything in the case if he could!
Another special feature offered by this shop is their meeting room. This is an additional room that I know is used by any group upon request and frequently known to be used by local churches for Bible study! If you're needing the meeting room you may also need to cater a meal, snack or sweet treat. Who knows maybe you will need to make a special order for that upcoming event or birthday party. Be sure to contact them to request special orders!

Welcome to my newest chapter of supporting South Central, KS small shops.  Today, it was decided that Junior was taking us to check out Peck, Kansas. Rumor actually has it that he wanted to be able to eat at their yummy burger barn in town, should have known! So, we headed over to Peck for his first visit to Boudreux Burger Barn and I must say none of us were disappointed with their food or service. Chisholm Trail Pt 1

Junior heard that there was a Chisholm Trail Festival going on in Caldwell, KS so he wanted to go for his first time to find out what it was all about. Plus, there were a few small businesses located here that he was already wanting to go see! Between the settlement of the Old West and the cattle drives, Caldwell remains the Border Queen town. Let's see what this little hard working town has to offer! Junior had to make sure we had a kick start to our day of adventures since he had been keeping Mom up all week teething! Sorry to everyone that didn't like that cliff hanger, but your wait is over! Junior had to take a break between visiting all these shops to see Caldwell's Chisholm Trail Days annual cattle drive. While we were working our way through this festival of events, Junior had a few more stops to make. Rustic Longhorn Co. You can find home decor, repurposed furniture, jewelry and other accessories. Junior found some very unique items!
