Introducing "the Junior edition"

Welcome to my newest chapter of supporting South Central, KS small shops. 

Today, it was decided that Junior was taking us to check out Peck, Kansas. Rumor actually has it that he wanted to be able to eat at their yummy burger barn in town, should have known! So, we headed over to Peck for his first visit to Boudreux Burger Barn and I must say none of us were disappointed with their food or service. Even Juniors picky friend, Mr B, ate all he could! 

Now for the real reason Junior said he was taking us to Peck, to visit The Market Nursery & Venue for our first time. Let me just say I hope Junior & Mr B were paying attention to what gifts they will get to give on Mother's Day. Although, it could be hard to pick as there is such a good variety of products.

Now, lets find out more about where Junior took us.

This is their menu and let me just say "affordable"! 

Combos that include fries and a drink starting at $9. That is the same if not better than most fast food! Don't worry if you're not feeling too hungry or have children with you they offer "small combo" which appears to be half the normal combo size.

Delicious food, served to us fresh and hot.

The Market Nursery & Venue

Located at 835 E 140th Ave N in Peck.

Business hours are Tue-Sat 9 am-5 pm, but wait they also offer "24 Hrs Produce".

Why did Junior bring me here you ask?

Market Nursery & Venue is a multi vendor shop that offers a variety of products including plants, produce and handmade gifts!

A lot of these products are made by this family owned small shop, but they had many others adding their own items. 

I'm sure by looking at the pictures you can see the creative effort put into the products and decoration of the shop. 

Many plants inside and out, including these air plants!

Honey, baked goods, coffee beans and more!

Farmhouse Collective, Fused Glass by Sonya, McIntyre Family Farms, BarePhat, Sherry's Candles, The Spice Merchant, Deana's Designs Pottery and Gail's Baked Goods

They also have very beautifully made pots, birdbaths and other pieces of work to decorate outside with. 

The Market Nursery & Venue employee went over many of the multi vendors that promote their products there, but this one was different. 

How about handmade from Africa? Yes, Africa. The Graham family works directly with a teacher named Ernestina for their quilting ministry. 

Like I said earlier, The Market Nursery & Venue, does offer "24 hrs produce" where cash, check or Venmo is accepted. 

Market Nursery & Venue invites everyone for their 2nd Annual Mother's Day event on May 10th & 11th. Look them up, get the event details and grab a burger at Boudreux Burger Barn while you're there!

Both of these small businesses are owned and operated by their families. This was a great adventure Junior took us on today and I hope you will consider supporting them too!
