While out and about for Mother's Day activities, Junior reminded me that a few of our group members had been promoting their vendor event for this weekend. I was excited to be able to have a few minutes to go and check out these home-based businesses. They offer a variety of cookies along with many other products including cakes, breads and other sweet treats. This bakery accepts custom orders upon request. There were so many events and specials for Mother's Day 2024 that it was hard for Junior to choose his next stop for the blog. Junior ended up taking his Grandma and I to a few places for a very successful Mother's Day weekend. So first, head to Belle Plaine with us! Ellis Island Farm Located at 431 N Merchant St in Belle Plaine. Well, you're on the right track except this is more of a farm to table shop that features multiple vendors. This shop offers a variety of home grown and made products by both the owner and the other listed small businesses. This store didn't even exist a year before we went to visit, but the owner of Ellis Island saw a need for a grocery store and somewhere for local "homemade" products to be found in this sm
